Rituals like baking, enjoying a meal together and digesting the same food have a deeply engraved cultural meaning. Food has both a culinary and a design dimension. It is a cultural act that connects people and places. Sense and perception come together and from the combination of ingredients, preparation methods and knowledge we learn about life and ourselves. During this first Life Lions Academy, the approach is through learning, experiencing, and creating as well as by entering the interdisciplinary field between art, culinary arts, craftmanship, technology, science, and AI. We will experiment with what nourishes us and what gives us energy. We will activate all our senses and experience the connections between our inner wellbeing and the space that surrounds us.
